A Lovely Wedding

Somehow I managed to get some pictures from my Dad's wedding.....without me in one. I don't know where those went? Anyhow, here is one of them with my brother, Anthony and his girlfriend.

Congrats to my Daddy!

Tonight is the start of all the wonderful Christmas rehearsals at church. We WILL be doing "O Holy Night" this year...and "What Child is This". Those were 2 of your favorites....at least those who replied. :) There is much more. You will all be in for a surprise this weekend. The sanctuary is going to be ....well here is a clue. "A rustic, starry night"....

To those who don't go to River City. Dang...

Thanksgiving Week

We went to Houston for Thanksgiving and guess what? My dad got MARRIED! Yay, insane. It was kind of a "surprise" thing, but I knew it was coming. :) My parents have been divorced for 16 years and this is my Dad's only marriage since then.....so it was a little weird, but I'm happy for them. This, of course, happened to create a lot of drama in the family. I'm always amazed at how something like this can get around to my family in a time span of 10 min. I guess that's what the telephone was invented for, right? ha.

Everyone loved Jackson so much. He really stole their hearts....as always. Wednesday night I got that nasty stomach bug that everyone in San Antonio seemed to have. I was miserable and it's always worse when you are at someone elses home. Ugh. Thankfully it only lasted 24 hrs and I was better by Thanksgiving Day. This year we had 4 Thanksgivings and probably tasted over 50 pies. I'm now ready to not eat for 2 weeks. "Darn".

Now, it's back to work. The 1st weekend in December is this week and we have A LOT to do. I'm actually getting kind of nervous about it all. I was actually wanting to take a poll with all of you.

What is your favorite Christmas song and why?

Working at Home

Another one of Bre's amazing pictures of us. :) She's so awesome.
I am working from home today. I can now access my desk top at work from my home computer. Yay. It makes things much easier. Jackson is playing in the living room and I am working. What a great day.

We leave for Houston tomorrow night to see my family. I'm really excited about seeing everyone. It's been awhile. Before I leave and don't get a chance to blog, I wanted to all let you know about Cheryl Miller. (She is my friend that was diagnosed with the brain tumor) She started chemo and radiation last week and has been doing great! She even came to church yesterday! It's been a hard 4 week sfor them, but I have never seen so much faith in a family. God is doing so many amazing things through this.....whichis hard for most of us to wrap our minds around....but I guess He works like that. He's God. ha.

Last week Willy had asked me to plan a song for the end of his message. I ended up choosing "How Great Is Our God", not even quite sure where he was going with his message. Again, it's really cool how God works because it fit perfectly! (Even though it was totally out of my range and I choked a little on it) I just love the words to that song.....

How great is our God
Sing with me how great is our God

And all will sing how great....
how great is our God

Name Above All Names
You are worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

Prayer and the Art of Busyness

A preview of what's to come for Christmas pictures. :) http://www.ph-studios.com/ Breanna is a FABULOUS photographer. Use her for you Christmas photos this year!

What a busy month this ALREADY has become! I can't believe that after next week most people will have Christmas decorations up! It really doesn't feel like Fall when it's 85 degrees out. I am seriously considered making a trip to Colorado the week after Christmas.

My calendar is beginning to fill up with parties, events and (my favorite) late night coffee runs with my girlfriends. I love it and yet get overwhelmed with what lies ahead. Last night our church held a "Concert of Prayer" night. It was amazing and I kept thinking of how blessed I was to be a part of it.....even when my calendar is filled. Those that were there prayed over the pastoral staff at one point and I was so overcome with thankfulness. I remember thinking "oh yeah, this is why we do this". So, as long as I keep that in mind and Jesus as my focus, I don't think I can go wrong.

So, here is to my crazy Italian family at Thanksgiving, fun Christmas parties, working over time on planning a month of December services, being a wife and mom and LOVING it all. Girls, don't be surprised if I call on you for an evening of coffee to vent, cry and/or laugh.

Dancing with Jason

Probably the funniest thing you'll ever see. The beginning is pretty much nothing, but I didn't know how to edit it. Keep watching though...he didn't know I was filming. Oh and that's my Dad next to him.

Enjoy!!!

Our Halloweeny Night

Does it get any cuter than this people? Jackson REALLY loved his costume. IT was so much fun this year. AS you can tell Jackson was a Bee and Carson...(his one day apart cousin) was Huck Finn! Enjoy!
