My Birthday Weekend.

Saturday was my 24th birthday. Friday night 4 of my girlfriends suprised me with a girls night that was oh so needed. On Saturday Jason and I went to dinner at Chuy's. Love it there!! Yesterday we went to Fredricksburg with the Phelps' and the other Powers'. Aaron, Bryan, Terra and I shared our birthday's together there. Even though we had to walk 2 miles for some candles (50 blocks I think..ha ha) we had a blast! Here are some pictures of our weekend. Thank you everyone for making my birthday special. I felt really good turning 24. :)

New steps.

I've decided that the time has come fo rme to find a hobby. Working is not my hobby. I need to tell myself that and come to believe. So, I'm on a quest to find what that is. I'm kind of interesting in learning how to sew. I do love being creative so I'm thinking of different things I can get into. Sewing, painting...etc. We will see.

I've been doing this bible study on Wednesday's with a friend of mine. It's on Revelation. It's a pretty interesting study. I've learned much about the end times and that really people just want to know what's going to happen to them. I have come to the conclusion that there is never anyway we will know until it happens. Until then, I am now even more motivated to tell people about Christ. It can be pretty convicting when you study God's word that I am not doing what I am supposed to do. How many of us have friends out side of that "christian" circle? I don't think I could count on one hand. That's not what it's about!!! I need to go out there. Get to know my neighbors. Be friends and be real with them.......be "real" life to them.

Other than that I am doing well. Oh did I mention that Jason and I are attacking our debt like never before. I have a new motto. "Being poor on purpose." Doesn't that just speak to you? Ha. Yeah, I hate it as much as the next person, but I have a real peace about it. I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I see clearly now because soon the rain will be gone. (song lyric) When you have money you love it and when you don't you hate it. I am learning how to not let my money control me, but to control my money!!! It's a really freeing thing. Jason did tell me that he would one day buy my a Hybrid. ha ha. I really like those. But seriously, that's not what it is all about. Not even close. I don't want to be rich, I want to be free. FREEEEEEE!!!!!

Last, but not least........Jackson is saying Mama, Dada, waves bye-bye, and is attempting to say CAT when he sees one. Pretty cool huh!! :) Oh and he's still screaming....so that's enjoyable.

Have a great one.

The Easter Zebra

What an amazing Easter we all had. It was spent getting gifts from the Easter "Grammy" (as my Mom put it) and a long day at church. Jason and I got there around 7:00 am for rehearsal. We do that every Sunday, but I was pretty excited with the whole day ahead of us. We have 3 services on Sunday and they all seemed to be pretty full. It's one thing to sing to a group of 75 and then 300. I like the 300 crowd. I don't feel as nervous for some reason. The services went amazing and I saw God work in some amazing and powerful ways.

After a long day at church we headed over to my Mom's around 1:15 or so and spent the afternoon with her. Not only did the "Easter Grammy" come to see Jackson, but the Easter Zebra came to see my twin sisters as well. . Quite an interesting name huh? Yes....I know....

Then, we were off to Jason's parents and spent the evening over there stuffing our faces even more.

Did I mention that it was freezing outside? Well, it was...for San Antonio anyway. I all ready to wear those cute little Spring clothes and then this freak artic blast comes through. I happen to be one who gets sick of the cold. I want to swim. None-the-less, it was still a great day. God can still have his way in rainy, cold weather right?

My mother-in-law captured this amazing picture yesterday in our worship services. This is some of our worship singers. The presence of God is something that should always bring us to our knees.

He is Risen and Alive!!!

Color!!!

I love color. I love that there are 96 different colors in this crayola box. PRETTY COOL!!! I think that if I could do anything I would go and paint every room in my house a different color. Color rocks a room out.
Anywho, tomorrow is Easter. Seems like I've been thinking "Easter" since January. As soon as Christmas comes and goes there is another big service to plan. The great thing is that we always have so many wonderful people who are helping this year. It seems that a lot of the congregation will have a part in this. I'm mostly excited to see what amazing things God has in store for tomorrow.
We are off to Stoneworks. Yum.....
I'm pretty random today. I'm blaming it on the rain.

Trips to the mailbox

So, around 5 months old Jackson started screaming. Really loud. No, it's not your "crying" scream or even "I'm mad" scream. He's perfectly happy....content...and screaming for the world to hear him. Ah, yes it was soo cute the first 70 times he did, but now he's 10 months old and it's driving me crazy. Everywhere we go he screams. We went out to eat the other night and they sat us down by the couple with no kids...of course, and he proceeded to point at them and scream. You can only imagine how Jason and I felt. We went to Jims for breakfast the next morning..yep, screamed like a crazy woman. The thing that gets me is that he is screaming at nothing. When you see your baby stare at the fire place for no reason and point and scream at it, then you will understand. It's humorous, yet annoying.

This has been my day today. I went out to the mailbox just to get out. I've heard of crazy mom stories likes this, but never did I think I would do it. Taking a shower is the most wonderful thing for me because guess what? I can't hear anything!!!

Despite it all though, I still love that little monkey. He seems to light up a room every where we go. I had someone recently tell me what a blessing he was to them and how he puts them in a good mood. She's not even FAMILY!!! She didn't have to say that. ha ha. He's a joy.

Gotta go, Jackson's screaming at the fridge.
