Christmas Shopping

Jason and I spend most of our day Christmas shopping yesterday at Northstar Mall. It was actually really enjoyable. Jackson sat in his stroller talking, singing and enjoying cookies at every store we went too. (Yes,he had lots of sugar. That does not make me a bad parent on a day like yesterday!)

Williams Sonoma is probably my favorite place ever. My debit card does come out of my purse in that place. Unfortunately, it goes right back in when I realize I have no money to spend there. "sigh".

On the way home I started thinking about the best gift I had ever gotten as a little girl. Jason had to think really far back.....and I really only had to think back like 7 years ago. LoL. Okay, I'm totally kidding. Really. I know I'm never going to hear the end of this now. ANYWAY....my favorite gift as a little girl was when my siblings and I received a new TV. We didn't have one for like a year and my grandparents bought us one. It was the best Christmas ever...oh and then there was the year I received "Barbie and The Rockers". That was sweet.

So, what was your favorite Christmas gift as a little kid? This should be fun!!

My mom, my brother, and I went shopping yesterday (Thursday) at North Star Mall... And, I have to agree that Williams Sonoma is one lovely store! (especially with all those delicious free samples they have of the treats they're selling! YUM!)

The question you posed about the "most favorite Christmas present" was actually one of the ones placed at our table the night of the Ladies' Christmas Tea...and I had trouble thinking of an answer then, too! There were SO many great gifts and surprises through the years... I'll keep thinking about it, though...

I don't remember how old I was - maybe 6th grade - but I opened a present under the tree and there was a clue in it. The clue lead to another clue...and so on...which eventually lead to NKOTB concert tickets!!!!!!!

I can't beleive I am releasing this information on the internet. I'm so not cool.

That is hilarious Kara!!

Natalie, I got Barbie and the Rockers too! Did it have a stage that was shaped like a guitar?

My favorite gift was my sea green and purple Huffy ten speed. It looked awesome next to the tree.

I received my favorite Christmas gift as an adult...my Chi Flat Iron! DJ got it for me and I entered the world of easily straight hair instead of being a Chia pet!

As a child, hmmmm....I think my favorite Christmas present was the quilt rack my grandmother started to make for me before she died. She made me a quilt when I was born and it was to hang that quilt on. My dad finished it and gave it to me for Christmas.

Kara...I'm so jealous that you went to see NKOTB!!!!!!!!!!!! "Oh oh oh oh oh...the right stuff!" That would have so been my favorite Christmas present had I received it!

Christmas when I was maybe 6, the biggest box at my Grandma's house said "To: B & S" on the label. My sister's name is Steph so we thought it might be for us. However, my cousin Brian stated it could be for he and his mom (Sharon). We waited all through Christmas dinner and all through the other gift opening until finally Grandma announced that the big box was for Steph and I. That box was FULL of dress up clothes! We were so excited that we immediately put on a fashion show for the rest of the family. It's one of my most memorable gifts ever!
