Thanksgiving Week

We went to Houston for Thanksgiving and guess what? My dad got MARRIED! Yay, insane. It was kind of a "surprise" thing, but I knew it was coming. :) My parents have been divorced for 16 years and this is my Dad's only marriage since then.....so it was a little weird, but I'm happy for them. This, of course, happened to create a lot of drama in the family. I'm always amazed at how something like this can get around to my family in a time span of 10 min. I guess that's what the telephone was invented for, right? ha.

Everyone loved Jackson so much. He really stole their hearts....as always. Wednesday night I got that nasty stomach bug that everyone in San Antonio seemed to have. I was miserable and it's always worse when you are at someone elses home. Ugh. Thankfully it only lasted 24 hrs and I was better by Thanksgiving Day. This year we had 4 Thanksgivings and probably tasted over 50 pies. I'm now ready to not eat for 2 weeks. "Darn".

Now, it's back to work. The 1st weekend in December is this week and we have A LOT to do. I'm actually getting kind of nervous about it all. I was actually wanting to take a poll with all of you.

What is your favorite Christmas song and why?

I don't really have a favorite Christmas song - I just like loud happy Christmas songs. Well, I guess they are all happy, so that just leaves me with loud. That probably doesn't help you, though.

i like jars of clay's rendition of "little drummer boy". also, i just got a cd of frank sinatra christmas songs from the library.

oh, and i like singing "what child is this?" and belting out the chorus (when i'm alone that is!)

little drummer boy (jars of clay) is really good!!

belting out the chorus of "what child is this" is only the way to do it......sing out daniel...and breathe!!

Um. I love ALL Christmas music equally. ;)

O Holy Night.....especially Barlow Girl's version. Why? Because I love the visual I get every time I hear of actually falling to your knees to worship Jesus.

I like Third Day and Jennifer Knapp's version of Alleluia.

I can't think of the song, but the Xmas song sung by Nat King Cole. I love the way he sings because he has such a trained and awesome voice.
