Turkey Day

It's been awhile since I've "blogged". I thought I would update everyone on our Thanksgiving Vacation. Jason and I left Tuesday night for Houston to see my family. We spent all week there until Saturday. It really was a great time, but visiting family can be stressful. Still, it was great. We got to hang out with some great friends. :) I talked Michelle into buying a maternity shirt. The best part of the trip though was seeing my family react to seeing Jackson for the first time. I have to tell you, babies change people. I've seen family members go from hard and stubborn to softies in seconds when that baby comes around. I had always heard that babies can change peoples lives, but now I really know the truth in that.

Jackson did great while we were there. He was his usual smiley self. He smiles more that Ronald McDonald. It really must be a gift. Lol. (Although right now he doesn't want to go to sleep and is screaming) The only downside to a vacation is that he's not used to sleeping in a playpen. Every night one of us had to lay with him to get him to sleep. He is not really wanting to give that up either. Ugh.......

We did get to go to the museum while we were there. My sister Savannah came with us. I really loved hanging out with her while we were there. She's grown up SO much and I'm really proud of her. It really was a great Thanksgiving...Drama and all....: )

These next couple of weeks will be the busiest weeks of my life. In fact, you may not see me post for awhile, but be sure to check...you never know...I may need a release. Christmas and working at a church is like working in retail during the holidays...except with more meaning....and not discounts....and nicer people......and plates of cookies.....and....yeah okay, Merry Christmas!!!!
