Steven Curtis Chapman

I haven't listened to Steven Curtis Chapman in forever. If he's on the radio and I recognize the song I'll turn it up, but other than that...I don't have a lot of investment in him. However, when I was about 11 years old, my dad became a Christian and had his tape in his truck at all times. I know every single word to "The Great Adventure". He was pretty obsessed with him. This morning I read that his 5 year old daughter was hit a care driven by her teenage brother. She died while being life flighted. My heart broke this mornign on the way in when I heard the news. I can't even imagine grieving for my child and having another one that had to live with that for the rest of his life. Please pray for the entire family.

I hurt deeply for this family because Steven Curtis Chapman is a man I have admired for a long time. I met him back at Lifeway when I worked there and he has such a true and amazing heart, you could see God shine out from within in everything he says or does. I am praying this family can get through this tragedy leaning on each other and knowing that God is taking care of them all. This is a family that you would never want to see hurt like this. Yes this is a sad day, an extremely sad day.
